Greed is Cancer

Greed is the cancer,
That is killing and
Destroying our world,
The only world we have.

Greed pollutes the air,
With poisonous gases,
That kill and sicken
The people of the world.

Greed takes the simple need
For shelter, requires a mansion,
A need for transportation, requires
A private jet or yacht.

Greed takes the mother's breast
Out of the mouth of the babe,
Sells the mother bottled formula
Less healthful, sometimes deadly.

Greed cuts down mountains,
Poluting the water source
For people below,
 Leaves an open waste.

Greed over sells fertilizer,
Polluting streams on their way
To the ocean, leaving dead
And dying fish and sea life.

Greed buys forested areas
Builds huge housing developments,
Huge business, commerce areas,
Covers earth with a hard surface.

Greed buys seed copyrights
Refuses to allow farmers
The right to plant their own,
Even copyrights genes for people.

Greed takes the work from the people
Sends the work overseas, \
Gives the work to others, \
Nearly enslaving with low wages.

Greed poisons the water source \
By "fracking" to extract gas and oil
Causing earthquakes in the process
Since Mother Earth doesn't like it.

Greed depsoits poisonous waste
From manufacting processes
From  nuclear toxic waste
And company farming wastes.

How long do Greedy people
Think Mother Earth will stand
For the despoiling of eartt?
How long before she throws it all back?
